# Pane 2: Select header row

### Overview

*Select header row* lets your users select the row that contains their file's header columns. A header row is required for every file that goes through the Importer.

> For majority of uploaded files, the first row is the header row. If our system automatically detects a match between the uploaded header row names and your template column names, this pane will be skipped.
