# Introduction

A starting point for OneSchema products, APIs, MCP, guides, and API references

OneSchema helps teams collect, clean, validate, transform, and automate customer data ingestion without building brittle spreadsheet and file-processing workflows in-house. Use the <Glossary>Importer</Glossary> to embed a guided CSV and spreadsheet upload experience in your product, **Multi FileFeeds** to automate recurring file-based ingestion and transformations, and **Templates** to define the columns, data types, and validation rules that keep imported data usable.

## APIs and MCP

Most OneSchema implementations combine product setup in the dashboard with API-driven workflows. The [API reference](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/) documents endpoints for launching and managing importer sessions, creating and updating templates, working with Sheets, configuring webhooks, and connecting storage services such as S3 and SFTP.

OneSchema also provides an [MCP Server](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/mcp-server) at `https://api.oneschema.co/mcp`. The MCP endpoint helps AI coding assistants understand and use the OneSchema API with the same authentication method as the API itself, with more MCP-native tools planned over time.

## Where to start

### Product quickstarts

* [Getting Started with Importer](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/getting-started) — embed OneSchema's guided importer, customize the upload experience, and ingest validated data.
* [Getting Started with FileFeeds](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/getting-started-filefeeds) — automate recurring file mapping, transformation, validation, and delivery with Multi FileFeeds.
* [Creating and Editing Templates](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/creating-and-editing-templates) — define expected columns, data types, validations, and template structure.

### Core concepts

* [Spreadsheets](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/spreadsheets) — understand how OneSchema represents uploaded spreadsheet data.
* [Templates](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/templates) — learn how schemas define what valid data should look like.
* [Types of Columns](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/types-of-columns) and [Validations](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/validations) — choose field types and validation behavior for your templates.

### Integration guides

* [Importer SDKs](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/javascript) — launch the importer from JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.
* [Importer Headless](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/initialize-importer-through-api) — initialize importer sessions through the API and skip upload, header selection, or mapping steps.
* [Importing Validated Data](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/importing-validated-data) — retrieve or receive cleaned data after an import is complete.
* [Events](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/using-events), [Importer Webhooks](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/importer-webhook), and [Validation Webhooks](https://docs.oneschema.co/docs/validation-webhook) — react to import progress and run server-side validation.

### API references

* [Importer API](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/create-embed) — create importer sessions, upload files, set headers, map columns, and import data.
* [Templates API](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/get-templates) — create, update, export, and push templates across environments.
* [Sheets API](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/upload-file) — upload files and work with spreadsheet rows programmatically.
* [Multi FileFeeds API](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/get-file-feeds) — manage automated file ingestion workflows.
* [Connections](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/list-s3-accounts) — configure S3, SFTP, AWS Secrets Manager, and Azure Key Vault integrations.
* [MCP Server](https://docs.oneschema.co/reference/send-mcp-json-rpc) — connect AI assistants to OneSchema's API and guide documentation.
